1st Ecological Macaw Mural of Venezuela

The Oko-Mural was an initiative of the NGO Okospiri, with the design and work of the artist Oscar Olivares, in team with Proyectos MAF, Mayor el Hatillo, Multirecicla and various companies to make the first parrot mural with recycled materials in Venezuela.

It took 2.5 months to plaster over 200,000 various plastic caps on a wall of a small square, Plaza Escalona in El Hatillo Municipality, Caracas. The mural extends a total of 45 meters in length, measuring 3.5 meters at its shortest point and 7.25 meters at its highest point.

La Cotorra Criolla (cover with parrot)

Pedro Alberto Martínez Conde (1934) is a humorist, poet, writer and comic actor from venezuela, better known with the pseudonym of Perucho Conde.

The Sugarhill Gang is an American hip hop group, known mostly for its 1979 hit "Rapper's Delight," the first hip hop single to become a Top 40 hit. In Venezuela the song became famous the year after and it took the name of “La Cotorra”.

A year later, Perucho Conde made a Spanish version of the song entitled "La Cotorra Criolla", enclosed in his LP album homonymous.
